This Valkyria Chronicles 2 and The Journey were the only games shown at E3 that are first day purchases for me, the others... eh.

^You no like YS Garr? That game looks like the game Secret of Mana would have been if they kept with the original formula.

Getting back to the trailer, it seems pretty interesting. Do I have to play PE2 to get this one? I wasn't very fond of the system in the second game....

I actually imported the first PE (as it was never released in the UK) and borrowed a friend’s modded PSX to play it on (at first in B&W but then in colour due to the purchase of a SCART lead).

It's the better of the two released games in the franchise and it is still part of my collection, the PSX however has long since gone the way of the dinosaur.

Honestly i've never really picked up a YS title, they had an unreliable track record with releasing them in Europe and i haven't picked up any of the recent hand held titles.

I've heard that the PSP version of Ys: Ark of napishtim had some problems, but the PS2 version was pretty good if you ever get the chance to try it.

Nor did I like the second game. The First game I got over in Hong Kong and got my PSX chipped to play it.

Careful. Square is involved and they have had a recently bad track record. The camera angle seems to be pretty poor as it seemed hard to know what was going on. I beat the first and briefly played the second on a copy borrowed form a friend. Unfortunately, the copy was defective so I never passed the first dungeon as it kept freezing but I remember horrible classic Resident Evil-like controls that I didn't like. It seems opinions of the second game are not too high from those who really played it. I don't have a PSP so I won't be playing this one but I hope it is as good as the first one and longer for those who do.
